DNS
DNS (Domain Name System) is a system that atributes names to many internet services (web, email, etc). This system associates a name or address(a domain like mysite.com for example) with an ip, and it means that a website can be accessed by this name.
Included DNS
Included DNS is a free service for clients that use our plans on Locaweb servers, but it's only available for plans which are Customer Managed. This service offers a DNS zone inside the Locaweb's DNS Server. That DNS zone is fully editable and the client has a better control over the entries in the DNS zone and all this without the need to install any application to manage the DNS on the server.
Installation
In order to install Included DNS for your domains, follow the steps bellow:
 Access the Control Panel, using your user and password;
Wait the page be loaded and there you can manage your service, click on  "Expandir Serviço/Recurso", on the left side;
beside DNS Incluso, click on "Expandir Serviço/Recurso", it's located at the left side;
In the field Domínio, put the domain of your site without www and '''http://''', after that, click on the button Instalar. When in the Status appears Aguardando Ativação it means that the proccess was executed sucessfully.

The deadline for the complete installation is 24 hours. when the installation's complete you are going to receive the directions in the main email which is registered in our system (Control Panel >> Dados Cadastrais). |
Pointing the entries

After the included DNS's installation, according to the directions above, in the Gerenciador de DNS create the entries "." (dot) e www, as is shown bellow. |
In CLOUD COMPUTING or SERVIDORES DEDICADOS, click on Imagem:Expandir.png "Expandir Serviço/Recurso", located to the left of the server where you want to access the service;
In DNS Incluso, click on Imagem:Administrar idc.jpg "Administrar Serviço/Recurso";
In the next page, in the Gerenciador de DNS, create the entries "." (dot) and www, as is shown bellow.
- The value 000.000.00.00 that is shown in the picture above is only an example. When you are creating the entry, put the Server's IP.
Locaweb's DNSs
Locaweb's DNSs:
ns1.locaweb.com.br
ns2.locaweb.com.br
ns3.locaweb.com.br
Note: Domains registred by Locaweb already use Locaweb's DNS by default, although you are able to alter them.
